Fulton Publishing Bought by Field Gibson Media
It has been announced that Field Gibson Media Ltd has acquired Fulton Publishing, the publisher of Environmental Finance and Carbon Finance.
Field Gibson Media (FMG) is owned by Peter Field, the founder of Risk magazine, and ex-CEO of Financial News Tony Gibson. The company currently runs InsuranceERM, the specialist news and analysis service for finance, risk, actuarial, technology and regulatory professionals in insurance.
Environmental Finance, which was founded in 1999, covers environmental concerns within the banking, government and corporate sectors. Its sister title Carbon Finance reports on market solutions to climate change and was set up in 2003. Following the acquisition, all staff are expected to remain and the editorial content of both magazines will continue to be overseen by co-founder Mark Nicholls.
Commenting on the acquisition, Field said: "There’s a lot of activity by reinsurers and insurers in the environmental area so Fulton is a logical fit. We have a lot of ideas about how to expand our coverage of this area and we have the capital to do this."
Field will now become chairman of Fulton, with Gibson taking on the role of managing director.
