TNG acquires Ingram Periodicals

North American supplier buys established sales and distribution business.

TNG, North America’s largest supplier of magazines to retail, has concluded the acquisition of Ingram Periodicals.

The company has announced that it is “excited” to begin working with Ingram’s strong base of magazine retail, wholesale and publisher customers, maintaining the high level of service these industry participants have come to expect.

In order to ensure a smooth transition of Ingram’s magazine business to TNG, both companies have agreed a Transition Service Agreement, during which time delivery will continue through Ingram’s current distribution centres in California, Tennessee and Pennsylvania.

With this acquisition TNG will expand its title availability, particularly international editions, and increase offerings to existing TNG customers. This will also expand TNG’s ability to offer 3PL services for a broad array of magazine publishing companies and distributors. The addition of Ingram’s model provides a wide range of magazine fulfilment distribution services direct to market and direct to home on behalf of the retail customer.
