John Bardsley Managing Director
With more than 20 years' experience in the newstrade industry, John has a career that has spanned wholesale sales and operational management, retail buying and circulation marketing. Among his many roles, John has previously worked at a senior level in the UK's biggest magazine distributor.
Passionate about magazines, and with a deep understanding of the needs of independent publisher clients, John is on top of his game when it comes to circulation sales and marketing.
Jamie Wren Commercial and Marketing Director
Having entered the newstrade Industry in 2005, Jamie has held Circulation and Trade Marketing roles across a number of newsstand distributors.
Most recently, Jamie held the position of Circulation and Marketing Director at Prospect Publishing. This role ensured that Jamie joined Intermedia with valuable experience in the day to day requirements of an independent publisher across the key areas of production, subscriptions, newsstand sales along with a focus on editorial and advertising. This experience gives Intermedia the opportunity to provide a service level far beyond that of a traditional newsstand distributor.
Martyn Newton Marketing Executive
Graduating with a degree in Human Biology with Nutrition, working in marketing and communications in both the private and public sector and running his own entertainment news and reviews website, Martyn joined Intermedia in September 2013 with a diverse range of knowledge and experience.
Since joining Martyn has helped to spearhead the subscriptions bureau and marketing activities ensuring our clients circulation objectives across both subscription and news channels are met. Martyn brings an acute understanding of data and marketing intelligence to ensure both our existing reporting standards and bespoke reporting requirements are delivered to our clients.
Catherine Love PR and Communications Executive
After graduating with a degree in English from the University of Southampton, Catherine joined Intermedia in 2011, taking the role of Business Development Executive for 18 months. Catherine is now working with the company in a freelance capacity to develop Intermedia's profile and maintain a high standard of communications.
Alan Green Non Executive Director
With more than 30 years of newsstand circulation marketing experience, Alan joined Intermedia in 2011.
Formerly an Executive Director of IPC Media, the UK's largest consumer publisher, Alan is highly respected within the industry, having managed the launch of numerous major magazine brands and driven significant innovation through the circulation supply chain.
Alan chairs the Intermedia Board of Directors.
Glynn Roche Non Executive Director
Glynn has extensive experience within the technology and telecommunications sectors, as well as a strong track record of creating commercial opportunities.
Glynn has previously held senior positions for both Ericsson Limited and Marconi Communications Ltd, prior to which he was Vice President of ECI Telecom UK. He joined Intermedia in 2012.
First launched in 1978, Starburst is the world’s longest running sci-fi, horror and fantasy magazine, but the title had suspended print publication in 2009.
