Prime members in the United States will be able to access books and magazines.
Amazon users who sign up to the $99-per-year Prime plan will gain access to over 1,000 books, magazines, and comics on Kindle and mobile devices.
The new offering is called Prime Reading, and includes titles such as Vogue, Bloomberg Businessweek, Sports Illustrated, and Consumer Reports.
Users will be able to download magazines into the Kindle app on smartphones and tablets, and read them as PDFs.
Previously, Amazon had introduced a digital subscription to The Washington Post to Prime members in the United States, with a 6 month free subscription followed by a $3.99 monthly charge.
