Now relaunched as a free magazine, NME has claimed its highest advertising revenue in 15 years.
NME has recently relaunched as a free magazine, to be distributed in a similar way to Time Out magazine.
The first free edition of the popular music magazine features five times the amount of advertising in comparison to the paid-for issue released a year ago.
The cover of the first free issue of NME features Rihanna ,wearing a T-shirt which says 'free'.
The issue will also feature an interview with the pop superstar.
NME is published by Time Inc UK.
Paul Cheal, managing director of Innovation at Time Inc, said: "We are launching an exciting new NME magazine with great commercial appeal into the free market with the benefit of it already being an iconic media brand. The launch cover star speaks volumes about NMEs access to the biggest artists in the world."
Editor in chief of NME magazine, Mike Williams, said: "This is an historic moment for the NME brand. The new NME is a breath of fresh air from cover to cover, and is everything a magazine should be in 2015 - relevant, intelligently designed and packed full of access, opinions and recommendations."
In addition to print distribution nationwide, NME will be available as a free digital download.
