At the Cheltenham Festival, Talksport 2 was launched by Talksport.
Talksport 2 will be launched as a 24 hour sister radio station to Talksport.
The announcement, made at the Cheltenham Festival, also included the news that the new station will have live rights to broadcast the ICC World Twenty20 cricket matches in India, as well as the ATP World Tour of tennis.
Managing Editor of Talksport 2, Mike Bovill, said: There is a huge appetite for sport in this country, and the array of live rights that weve secured for Talksport 2 is a great prospect for listeners, who just have to retune their digital radios to pick up the new station.
"To have the biggest cricket event of the year as well as unprecedented access to names such as Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and of course Andy Murray through the ATP World Tour is incredibly exciting.
The new station will be available across the UK on digital radio and online.
